RECOGNITION
Northwest Collectors
Honored as Employer
of Choice
Employees from Northwest Collectors recently honored the company, an
ACA member in Missoula, Mont., for its
cooperative work environment and efforts
to keep morale high by nominating it for
a 2015 Job Service Employers’ Council
Employer of Choice Award.
The Missoula Job Service Employers’
Council (JSEC) selected the company for
the award, in the category of businesses
with less than 25 employees, based on
the six nominations.
The JSEC awards recognize
businesses in the Missoula community
that create great workplaces, innovative
workforce solutions for training, and have
employees who are engaged and
motivated.
“We were impressed that
communication was a common theme
among all the nominations and that staff
mentioned that you value your
relationships with them and invest time
and energy to help them feel valued,
heard and supported,” Missoula JSEC
President John Mikkelson wrote in a
letter to Northwest Collectors President
Paul Heihn.
According to the letter, employees
nominated the company because they
appreciate benefits such as flexible
schedules, the option to leave early on
Fridays, holiday parties and having fresh
fruit, coffee and snacks available at work.

RECOGNITION
ACA Member Recognized by In Business Magazine
Tim Haag, State Collection Service Inc.’s director of client services, was
recently honored as one of Madison’s 40
outstanding professionals under 40 by In
Business Magazine.
Haag was recognized with other
professionals at an event hosted by the
magazine on March 5 in Madison, Wis.
Haag has embraced a leadership role in
his family’s firm, which his grandfather,
Hilding Haag, started in 1949.
He overcame challenges growing up
and worked through being diagnosed with a
learning disability to successfully complete
his college education at Northern Michigan
University.
“To most, graduating from college is the
norm, but for me it was an achievement
because of the people that told me I
couldn’t do it,” Haag said.
